Flower Care

You have picked your beautiful bouquet and arrive home from a wonderful night. Now what? Many people forget that the best way to keep your fresh flowers fresh is to give them proper care. Follow these simple steps to keep your blooms blooming:

Trim

Cut about an inch off each of the stem of your flowers on a diagonal to increase surface area for the plant to soak up water. Repeat this step each time you replace your water.

Remove Debris

During your U-Pick, it is suggested to clear your flower stems of leaves so it is easier when you are home. If some are missed, while putting your flowers in a vase, ensure there is no foliage touching the water as this spoils the flowers faster.

Replace Water

You should be giving your bouquet fresh water every 1-2 days to maximize bloom life. Water should be room temperature to avoid shocking the plant.

Store in Cool Temps

Florals last longer when they are stored in cool temperatures. You probably don’t want to keep your pretty bouquet in the fridge forever so we suggest keeping it away from heat sources or direct sunlight.

Clean Vase

Ensure you are using a clean vase to begin with and give it a scrub each time you replace the water and trim the plant.
